Located in the resort community of Princeville, this 22 acre tropical paradise features gardens and flowers, waterfalls, cascading pools, and access to one of Hawaii's most beautiful secluded white sand beaches - so beautiful in fact that this location was used to film the classic movie production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "South Pacific."

The resort features condo hotel rooms as well as studios and full 1, 2, and 3 bedroom condo suites, each commanding spectacular views. All units at the resort are privately owned and often managed and decorated by the owner in a wide variety of taste, style, and level of upgrade. ON JULY 1, 2011 AN UNFORTUNATE FIRE BROKE OUT ON THE ROOF OF THE BALI HAI RESTAURANT. THIS CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE RESTAURANT, FRONT OFFICES AND CAUSED WATER DAMAGE TO THE FITNESS CENTER, POOL BATHROOMS, SUNDRY SHOP AND MASSAGE GAZEBO. THE KITCHEN FOR HAPPY TALK LOUNGE WAS AFFECTED BY THE FIRE AND HAPPY TALK HAS NOT REOPENED AS OF SEPT 1. HBR MANAGEMENT HAS CONTRACTED OUT THE PROJECT AND THE DEMOLITION AND RECONSTRUCTION OF THIS AREA HAS BEGUN, ALONG WITH REMODELING THE FRONT LOBBY. WE ARE SO SORRY FOR THIS INCONVENIENCE BUT NO OTHER RESORT AMENITIES HAVE BEEN AFFECTED. THE POOL, TENNIS COURTS, BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS AND VIEWS ARE STILL THERE. WE ARE THANKFUL NO DAMAGE WAS DONE TO ANY CONDO DURING THE FIRE AND THE STAFF AND GUESTS WERE SAFE. WE LOOK FORWARD TO THE POSITIVE CHANGES THAT WILL TAKE PLACE AT HANALEI BAY RESORT IN 2012.
