The surrounding area is ideal, with a romantic view right from the expansive lanai, a living room and a bed of the majestic Hanalei Valley Mountains surrounding Hanalei Bay where rainbows and waterfalls form spontaneously just about every day. Right across the street is one of the island's best views especially at sunset of Bali Hai, an exotic looking mountain formation featured in the famous movie "South Pacific" with the azure blue waters of Hanalei Bay. A short walk from Hale Moi #213 Cottage are several spectacular beaches, including Hideaways Beach, with easy access to the path across the road. There are 5 fine-dining restaurants with gorgeous views and two (2) five-star resorts, Princeville St. Regis Hotel and Hanalei Bay Resort, within walking distance.

MD, CA "When we left Colorado, we had 10" of snow and it hadn't been above freezing for over a week! Talk about felling like you've come to Paradise! Kauai is one of our favorite places in the world, and we always look forward to returning. Tunnels Beach is one of our favorites, though winter surf makes it less desirable for swimming/snorkeling. We also love Ke'e. The hike on the Kalalau Trail is really spectacular, but difficult at best, and can really be nasty when wet. Well worth the effort, but be advised. The Friday night seafood buffet at the Princeville Hotel is fantastic (pricey at $65.00), and a beautiful property. We're going to spend a week on the South Shore before saying Aloha and home for Christmas. Our time at Hale Moi was wonderful, the unit was especially well done, and the arrangements flawless. We still have one day left and we are hoping to kayak down Hanalei River. Everything here at Secret Princess is lovely! One night we awoke to see waterfalls had appeared all over our backyard mountains. We are both college students, and we couldn't have asked for a more affordable and beautiful place to stay. For those who follow - Don't miss the Kalalau trail to the Na Pali Coast. We hiked it the first day (or at least the first 2 miles) It's a bit tough, but we were getting passed by 10 year olds! This has been the most amazing vacation for both of us. The North Shore is so beautiful and we felt so lucky to have found Candace's "Secret Princess" to stay at. The condo was so perfect for us, so clean, an amazing view of the mountains and in such a great location! Princeville is so wonderful and the quaint town of Hanalei is just perfect. We loved driving to Hanalei for dinner at the Polynesian Cafe, such amazing food, the fish is so fresh and you can BYOB! The Na Pali Riders tour of the Na Pali Coast was our favorite with kayaking the Wailua River a very close second! Candace was so amazing to work with, she is so sweet and helpful, our stay would not have been the same with her! The best part of our trip was that on our second night we got engaged, and that memory and moment here on the North Shore of Kauai - I will always have, I couldn't have imagined it anymore perfect. The Lighthouse was a cute place to see and stopping at the fruit stands for some apple bananas was great. Pineapples every night were a great way to unwind. Got to see Waimea Canyon where we did some biking and off-road with the jeep. The beaches at Poipu were really beautiful. The view along the Na Pali Coast was breathtaking (everyone should hike here!). Also got to see the Smith Luau (awesome food and mai tais). They had a great show and the food was delicious!
