Nalu Hale...the "surf" house... come enjoy the wonderful beaches on Kauai and with family and friends make this comfortable "hale" your home base. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, this home is part of the larger Poipu Kai Resort which offers wonderful greenbelt pathways with a short stroll to Shipwreck Beach and the Grand Hyatt's lush grounds to the east and to the west you can walk to Poipu Beach Park and Brennecke Beach. Plus you have use of the Poipu Kai community pool, hot spa and tennis courts (small court fee applies).

Let the tropical birds sing to you as you relax and let your troubles slip away. This home has the living area, a half bath plus the master suite upstairs. Then there are 2 additional bedrooms, a full bath, a den and laundry downstairs. There is plenty of room for families and kids to have their own space! Perfect for either couples or extended families.

The upstairs deck is the perfect place for meals, BBQ, & star gazing while listening to the sounds of the ocean. Or sit on the lower patio surrounded by the lush tropical gardens.

This Poipu home offers:

• Master suite with king-size bed, flat-screen TV, master bath with tub and separate shower.
• Two bedrooms both with TVs – one has a queen bed and one has 2 twin beds which can convert to king sized bed.
• For large parties (up to 8) with children we have 2 fold-out futons (and a well-used sleeper sofa in the den).
• To accommodate younger children we have a play-n-pack and a high chair available.
• Internet access is free as well as cable TV
• The garage is equipped with laundry facilities and beach gear (towels, mats, chairs, sand toys and coolers).

Hawaii state tax of 13.42% and Outcleaning fee will be added to all reservations. Stays less than one week are subject to manager's discretion. * The holiday season has a one week minimum. Activities

Poipu Beach offers a sheltered cove called "Baby Beach" where toddlers play in the sand and splash in the shallow waters. A few steps away in the clear warm water, colorful tropical fish swim beneath as you snorkel just feet from the shore. The calm waters and gentle waves are enjoyed by swimmers of all capabilities. Experienced surfers can catch large-breaking waves further out beyond the reef. Poipu Beach Park offers a large grassy area dotted with swaying coco palms. There are picnic tables, play equipment, showers, restrooms, even a convenience store and restaurant across the street.

Brennecke Beach, at the east end of the park, is renowned for body surfing and boogie boarding.

If you bring your camera you may be able to capture on film a Monk Seal sleeping off a meal on the beach. Seals are protected so don't approach too closely.

Within a 2 mile radius of the house you will find two golf courses, some of Kauai's finest restaurants and charming island boutiques. When you venture beyond Poipu you can explore the beauty, and natural wonders of Kauai. You will find a virtual paradise of activities: helicopter tours, horseback riding, river and ocean kayaking, whale-watching, botanical garden tours and much more, including many popular natural attractions such as the Na Pali Coast and Waimea Canyon (the Grand Canyon of the Pacific).
