Hanalei Bay Resort 9106

This secluded and airy ground floor hotel room is our favorite bedroom and where we stay when at HBR. It has spectacular views of the ocean, mountains, Hanalei Bay and Puu Poa Beach. With doors and windows on three sides you catch the trade winds which blow most of the time. Your lanai has a table and chairs for alfresco breakfasting and a private lawn.

From the lanai you can listen to the surf, watch the tides ebb and flow over the reef, watch colorful sunsets, and spot Nenes (endangered Hawaiian geese) flying by. (If the Nenes come to call please do NOT feed them as they might decide to come back at 6 AM and beg for a hand-out!). In the winter you may see whales passing or enjoy the view of the mountains behind Hanalei draped with slender waterfalls cascading beneath colorful rainbows. Have you ever seen a double rainbow? It is just a short walk down a private path to the beach or you can call the front desk and request a cart to take you down (and back up again after your swim).

This unit was renovated in 2008. There are: New tile floors and woven wood window coverings, new furniture with plenty of storage in the dresser and closet, a 4-poster, king size bed with a luxury pillow-top mattress, feather and foam bed pillows and a flat screen TV.

There is plenty of storage space in the granite top dressing room vanity along with a hair dryer, coffee maker and a small, under-the-counter refrigerator for snacks. There is both a ceiling fan and air conditioning.

Hanalei Bay Resort is spread out over 22 acres of beautiful tropical gardens with two swimming pools (one with a keiki beach and waterfall), eight tennis courts and several bar-b-q areas. There is a sundry store and water sports rental office.
