Love, Janet Lamb This was a perfect condo for us! The owner was great and even provided a few helpful tips for our stay (restaurants, beaches, etc). It was excellent for a family (we have 3 young children) and very spacious. It was great to have a full size kitchen with washer and dryer. The staff at the resort was superb- helpful and very friendly. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was that the restaurant and bar was not open for what appeared to be until further notice. The view from this particular condo was one of the very best! Hope to be back soon! Amazing pool! Our family loved this place. Hanalei Bay Resort is wonderful. If you are looking for a place to stay that has beautiful grounds, a fabulous pool with waterfalls, a cave, sandy bottom spa, 8 well maintained tennis courts, and spectacular views, this is it. We stayed here at the beginning of our vacation and then moved down to Poipu for a week, But, after 2 days at the Marriott in Poipu, we missed the north shore and HBR so much, we came back to HBR. We loved the spacious 2 BR unit 8133-8134. The unobstructed views of the mountains and Hanalei Bay beloware spectacular . The unit is large and well appointed. We have 3 boys (6,12,15) and the place felt roomy. It's nicely decorated, clean and the kitchen is well equipped and pleasant. What differentiates this unit from others is the location. It is in Hale 8 and therefore you do not see any other buildings out your windows. Also, it's a first floor unit so you are able to walk out the sliding doors on to a small porch area with table, chairs and a lounge and then onto the grass. This was very pleasant in the mornings. We found this condo on www.SummitPacific.com My fiance and I were looking for a place to stay with some friends on Kauai's North Shore. We wanted a condo where we could cook some of our meals and relax during our down time. We rented units 8133 and 8134 from a family who owns multiple units at the Hanalei Bay Resort. The process was super simple although somewhat "mom and pop". When we arrived at the Hanalei Bay Resort we were blown away by the grounds, the pool and the incredible views. The staff was very friendly and the unit was big, clean and well appointed. The unit has unabstructed views of Hanalei Bay and the famous Bali Hai. The pool at the HBR is great and we spent at least a little time there every day. The setting is like an island lagoon with black lava rocks, water falls, palm trees and even a beach. The town of Hanalei is small but very quaint and has some good places to eat and shop. We liked the Hanalei Gourmet for lunch and really enjoyed the Hanalei Dolphin Fish Market for fresh fish to be cooked back at the condo. Peddle and Paddle is a great place to rent or buy snorkle gear etc. The North Shore is full of things to do... our favorite beaches were Tunnels and Ke'e. Hiking the first 1/2 mile of the Kulalou trail to the Napali Coast lookout is probably one of the best bang for the buck hikes on the Island. We also highly recommend playing on the rope swing at Kuipu Falls and Kayaking the Wailua River to hike to Secret Falls. All in all Kauai is a great place to visit and the Hanalei Bay Resort is a great place to stay. I would highly recommend checking out the Summitt Pacific website and I've heard that all the Spitz units are nice. Aloha! ~ Kathryn and David We stayed in Hanalei Bay Resort Condos 8133 and 8134 this summer. First of all these condos have the best view!! We walked around the resort and couldnt find anything comparable. Beauuutiful view over the Mountains and Ocean. Almost every day we saw rainbows in the sky. The best view for relaxing morning! Condos are clean and great furniture!! Full kitchen, washer and dryer in the room!! The only thing what bothered us that these condos have door between them inside which was closed and nobody had a key. First we wanted to contact the owner of the condo but then realized that it is not a big deal and enjoyed our stay in full! We will DEFINITELY come there again! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
