March 2019
This three bed three bath is a wonderfully homey and comfortable condo. The condo overlooks a beautiful view of mountains and oceans. The master bedroom was exceptionally comfortable and the kitchen provided enough room for our big family and a full kitchen that was well supplied. The condo also provides toys for the kids, boogie boards, sand toys, and games. The living room has a cozy couch and a glider recliner and TV. There is a balcony for 2 of the rooms with plenty of wildlife to view. There are plenty of things to do on the resort but the location of the condo provides easy access to at least 100 different activities. By far one of the most memorable places we have stayed at. Would live to go back.

My family (four adult children and my wife) and I stayed here over the Christmas holiday. What a perfect location and accommodation for us! The Hanalei Bay Resort is very nice with many amenities which made is a great family resort -- very nice pool and spa, lovely little beach with an amazing view, tennis courts (although we did not use these), and a small restaurant. Staff was really great as were our hosts. Overall the resort is quiet and welcoming. The unit has a spectacular view and is very large and spacious for a group like ours. Everyone had a bed and there were three bathrooms so we were not "on-top" of one another. Each bedroom (there are three) has its own bathroom and a spacious lanai. The common area is very large with plenty of seating and a big TV. The dining area is also plenty big for a large group. The kitchen is somewhat small, but worked great for us and was well supplied. We also appreciated the inside laundry. The hosts provided beach mats, boogie boards, a few beach chairs, beach toys, etc. for fun in the sand. The grocery nearby is well-stocked so you don't have to haul things from Kapaa if you don't want to. There aren't a lot of restaurant in the area and shopping is limited, but we were not bothered by that at all. Kapaa has plenty of those things and is not too far away. Getting to Poipu or beyond is a haul, but the drive is nice, so we didn't mind. If you're looking for great scenery, fabulous beaches, and a large, quiet place to get away, then this is an AWESOME choice. We can't wait to go back! Thank you for an amazing week!

We stayed for only 2 nights in units 4201, 4202, 4203 which we booked directly from the owners, Gary Spitz. First, the north shore of Kauai is one of the most beautiful places on earth. We have stayed at Hanalei Bay Resort many times before and these units had gorgeous views. Units are 2 hotel rooms (4201, 4203) connected to a central 1 bedroom condo unit with kitchen. The units were loaded with good cooking utensils and washer/dryer. The views were fantastic and the beds were comfortable. I love this little hotel facility, great music and fun at the Happy Talk Lounge. I would highly recommend these units, good value compared to other areas of Hawaii.

Took a nice walk down to beach and walked through path to the river.

Our first trip to Kauai was incredible. The condo we rented was 4201, 4202, 4203. Views are excellent from all three lanais. If you are looking for a place to stay that is lively and full of activity then this is not the place for you. It was quiet and peaceful which is exactly what I was looking for. With the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives I wanted a vacation where I could actually relax. No blackberry and no laptop......just the views. The service was very adequate. A quick phone call would have the limo golf cart at your doorstep within minutes. I am glad the parking lot was far from the condo as I was not looking to hear car noises although the golf cart was a bit noisy (not sure if electric is an option as the ride to the beach has some steep hills). I loved the roosters crowing early in the morning as it woke up even my 15 year old who would sleep to noon if you let him. We ventured out to many beaches from the North to the South. I am glad we had the 4 wheel drive Jeep as some access points are fun to drive to in the 4x4.

As for the actual condo units we couldn't have been happier. Very clean....well equipped.....everything you need. We purchased groceries after we picked up the rental car and purchased some items that were already in the condo. As for air conditioning - don't need it. Breeze blows through the condo and cools down quick.....one day breeze blew a picture off the wall.....needed blanket at night. As for the rain......rained every night and some mornings which resulted in some fantastic rainbows. By 9 A.M. rain gone and sun out although you will get more clouds than on the East and South shore.

We did many activities for the 9 days from ATV rides, ziplines, kayaks, hiking, 4 wheeling, many beaches (the best beaches were the ones that were the most difficult to find and get to - very few people on beaches - no crowds even at the most popular ones), snorkeling (great snorkeling at the resort beach - especially for us beginners - many fish and a shark), helicopter ride is a must! So to sum it up the condo was great - quiet, secluded, great views - great beaches within 30 mins drive, activities about 60 minute drive.

My husband and I were looking for a place to vacation with our two children and in-laws. Being that we vacation to Hawaii 1-2 times a year we are always looking for somewhere that feels like home and a place that we would want to return to in the future. We have found that place.
We rented the 3 room condo and it was amazing. The cleanliness, along with the convenience of the pool and a nice, short walk to the beach, and one of the most amazing things was the spectacular view, we fell in love with the place.
We highly recommend the beautiful condo and it was a pleasure to work with Gary Spitz.
