We can all agree that Hanalei Bay Resort is the best place to stay on Kauai, and now you just discovered the condominium that is the best value for your vacation dollar. All HBR condo owners pay the highest monthly maintenance fees on the island to support the ground's luscious tropical landscaping - so why not sit ringside and survey the magnificent tropical foliage right from your lanai. On your top floor lanai you'll feel like Hawaiian Royalty as you stand eye level to the coconut palm trees and gaze across the majestic pool, then past Hanalei Bay and finally resting your eyes on the distant remarkable waterfalls of Bali Hai. You'll not walk far to the amazing open air bar and restaurant, provided they are up and running. The lagoon shaped pool with its romantic waterfalls and secluded sand bottom spa support privacy for your dreamy get-a-way. The buildings are laid out on the grounds with a mindful eye toward seclusion, and you'll have to stretch your neck from your doorway to see other condo buildings on the property. Don't forget the beach path which winds past the 8 tennis courts also has an optional shuttle service for those in a hurry. This top floor condo unit features a king size bed, kitchenette, a large full size bathroom, and of course a 180 degree view off the lanai. This recently renovated room (June, 2010) is air conditioned in addition to the large paddle fan for your comfort, it also has a 42"; widescreen TV with DVD player. The kitchenette has a very powerful 1300 watt microwave, toaster-oven, under-counter refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, cookware and tableware. Large capacity washers, dryers and icemaker are located at the building's lower floor adjacent to the parking. The condo is located in the "Bougainvillea", the second building past the main lobby. There are many buildings (all named after Hawaiian plants) on the resort grounds but having close access to parking is definitely a luxury. It is a short drive to grocery stores, restaurants, gift shops, kayak rentals, surf shops and of course legendary Princeville golf course. Guest Comments:This condo and HBR were a welcomed sight after our long flight from Florida, it was beautiful and relaxing. Hanalei Bay Resort was a haven of beauty and aloha spirit and it was nice to be around a resort where no one was rushing around. The pool and tennis courts were lovely and well kept. We loved the evenings on the lanai and late nights in the spa. We would definitely recommend this condo and resort to our friends. My husband and I spent our honeymoon in room 2305 and we were very pleased with the size of the condo and the many extra features. The grounds of the resort were picture perfect and full of colorful flowers. We spent hours at the pool and we could always find privacy with its lagoon shape. We met other couples on our stay who were jealous of our accommodations. The pool and spa were deserving of all of its awards and the resort's staff was very friendly. We did not expect the vast resort property or the wonderful Princeville walking path. The guest comments were spot on, and being there was much better than portrayed in the pictures or videos. Speaking as one who just returned from a five day anniversary celebration, you have to see it to believe it. We enjoyed looking down at the pool area from our lanai as much as being down there basking in the sun. The beach, spa and pool with the lava rock waterfalls made it the best condo we ever stayed at, and the night lights in and around the pool and spa made our nightly visits very romantic. Thanks for the memories and we shall return. ~ Michelle and Brad, May 2012 “The Resort doesn’t have elevators so we carried our suitcases up the stairs with help from the friendly bell hop. For the rest of our stay the parking was close and not a problem. The top floor view was worth every step and the view was remarkable. The doors to the lanai opened at least six feet so that you were immediately connected to the swaying palm trees, and the shear curtain option made the room instantly romantic. We ate breakfast and lunch on the lanai and the kitchenette sufficed for the preparation and storage of all our food. We listened to the Hawaiian lounge music on our lanai each night till 9:00 and often took a late night stroll through the torched lit walk ways and ended up relaxing in the spacious spa.
