We can all agree that Hanalei Bay Resort is the best place to stay on Kauai, and now you just discovered the condominium that is the best value for your vacation dollar. All HBR condo owners pay the highest monthly maintenance fees on the island to support the ground's luscious tropical landscaping - so why not sit ringside and survey the magnificent tropical foliage right from your lanai. On your top floor lanai you'll feel like Hawaiian Royalty as you stand eye level to the coconut palm trees and gaze across the majestic pool, then past Hanalei Bay and finally resting your eyes on the distant remarkable waterfalls of Bali Hai. You'll not walk far to the amazing open air bar and restaurant, provided they are up and running. The lagoon shaped pool with its romantic waterfalls and secluded sand bottom spa support privacy for your dreamy get-a-way. The buildings are laid out on the grounds with a mindful eye toward seclusion, and you’ll have to stretch your neck from your doorway to see other condo buildings on the property. Don’t forget the beach path which winds past the 8 tennis courts also has an optional shuttle service for those in a hurry. This top floor condo suite is connected by a 'lock out' doorway with a king size bed in the kitchenette side and two double beds in the adjoining room. Both recently renovated rooms are individually air conditioned with separate bathrooms, 42" widescreen TV’s with DVD players, separate microwaves, tableware, under-counter refrigerators, toasters and coffee makers. The entire condo was completely restored in June 2010 including new bathroom vanities, granite countertops for the kitchenette and bathrooms, new painting, carpet, ceiling fans and lighting, wall art, bed spreads, linens, etc. Large capacity washers, dryers and icemaker are located at the building's lower floor adjacent to the parking. The condo is located in the "Bougainvillea", the second building past the main lobby. There are many buildings (all named after Hawaiian plants) on the resort grounds but having close access to parking is definitely a luxury. It is a short drive to grocery stores, restaurants, gift shops, kayak rentals, surf shops and of course legendary Princeville golf course. But with the great view of the tropical landscape, pool and spa, you’ll never want to leave the thoughtful staff and beautiful surroundings. Guest Comments:“Wow, this place is gorgeous! We rented out both sides of the suite 2305-and 2306– our three kids stayed in the two double beds and we took the king. It was fantastic because we both had our own separate wide screen TV’s and DVD players to unwind for the evening. My husband and I would sneak out to the lounge to hear live Hawaiian music while enjoying good food and drink. The kids didn’t want to leave the pool and hot tub to go sightseeing. The beach was calm and sunsets breathtaking. We definitely recommend this condo and resort.” ~The Chase Family, March 2009 “I didn’t think this romantic setting would be a good place to bring children but I was wrong. First of all they liked having their own beds and not having to sleep on a sleeper sofa, secondly they enormously enjoyed having their own TV, private bath, and finally they liked going to the pool themselves and still being able to see us as we watched from our lanai. My husband and I would sit on the lanai after watching the sunset from the restaurant area (unfortunately closed during our visit) and continue to enjoy the views of the tiki torch lit pathways and illuminated pool. We often hiked around the grounds and along the nearby golf course. Next visit we might brave the trails along the mountains. All our family members give this condo and Resort a big thumbs up and can’t wait till our next vacation.” ~Kathy W. 11/09 “We appreciated the care you have taken for your property and certainly the cleanliness. The grounds were perfect for our daughters who were either playing tennis or in the pool. My husband and I didn’t mind the walk down to the beach to watch the sunsets or the slow walk back up. There was so much to see in Hanalei that I’m sure we missed half of the fun. Our family particularly enjoyed the kayak trips along the river and past the taro fields, and our attempts to hike along the Napali north coast was worth the view but we didn’t make it to the waterfalls. The girls enjoyed their freedom around the resort and Mike and I enjoyed the privacy offered nightly on the lanai, it was very romantic.” ~Janet and Mike 6/2010 “We were happy to discover that all the guest comments were spot on, and the pictures –even the Youtube video - couldn’t do the property justice. The pool and spa were larger than imagined and we enjoyed the relaxing environment – our five day stay was definitely too short. The best recommendation I can give is that we can’t wait to come back for a longer stay.” ~Rebecca, Graeme, Christen and Clive. 7/2010 |
