Aloha Airlines Announces Last Flight
Aloha,
Aloha Airlines announced today that its last day of passenger service will be Monday, March 31, 2008. Our hearts go out to the Aloha ‘ohana. You have been great partners in tourism and in the community. We will miss you. Please click here for Aloha Airlines’ official statement and F.A.Q. and a statement from the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
Aloha will operate all of its interisland scheduled flights through March 31. It will operate all of its transpacific and mainland flights through today, March 30. On March 31, all transpacific and mainland flights will operate with the exception of flights from Hawaii to the U.S. mainland, and flights from Orange County to Reno and Sacramento, and from Oakland to Las Vegas.
Aloha is no longer selling tickets for travel beyond March 31, 2008. It will continue to operate its air cargo and aviation services units as usual.
Code-share partner United Airline as well as Hawaiian Airlines and other carriers are prepared to assist and accommodate Aloha’s passengers who have confirmed reservations or tickets for travel after March 31. For more information on United’s accommodation options, contact United at 1-800-UNITED1 or www.united.com or Hawaiian Airlines at 1-800-367-5320 or www.hawaiianair.com.
Other airlines with available seats to some of Aloha’s markets are listed below. Passengers who do not wish to be re-accommodated by another airline should contact their travel agent or credit card company to request a refund.
Only a brief travel disruption is expected as other interisland and transpacific airlines have the capacity to handle Aloha’s ticket holders through expanded schedules and the addition of some aircraft.
Please advise your guests that they should make their travel arrangements prior going to the airport. If they are in need of accommodations, they should check availability at their present accommodations.
We have posted an update at www.gohawaii.com/alohaairlines and will update it as new information becomes available.
